Uncle Worm's Texas Cuisine

First off, the service was great! Wait staff was warm and friendly and the owner came out to chat and was very chill and even had us laughing with his anecdotal experience on why he didn't want to share his secret recipes. But honestly, the food is where it's at!!! Even tho the Mac dishes are their more popular items, the Rosemary chicken and Flat iron steak were easily the best meals we've had anywhere within the "Texas cuisine" category, rising far above other well-known local establishments. The cheesecake and the banana pudding can best be described as truly "authentic," giving you the complete experience of what real Texas homemade cooking at the restaurant-quality level should be like. The only reason why I have the atmosphere at 4 star is because of the sports bar/karaoke layout that may not be for everyone, but we actually enjoyed a very peaceful dinner around the time we went. We definitely plan on going back to try all the other food offered throughout the day!

Visiting Waco. Walked in Sunday afternoon about 145. Was the only one there and thought.. oh boy. Was warmly greeted and seated and brought the brunch menu. Ordered the brisket Mac and cheese. They brought it out, and I thought to myself, I wonder how this is going to taste. Well it was DELICIOUS. The Mac n cheese itself was very good but the brisket on top was awesome. I mixed it all up and was super full. Got banana pudding to go.

The VERY BEST in or around Waco, hands down!! Ribeye steaks, flat iron steaks, Crawfish Saturday, open bar, GREAT SERVICE & ALWAYS FRIENDLY, clean environment! This guy they cal "Uncle Worm" is making a positive impact in Waco with his Texas Cuisine and me and my family absolutely appreciate it! If you haven't tried Uncle Worms', you're missing out people!

My husband and I checked out Uncle Worms for the first time and we had a brisket sandwich. The bbq sauce was very tasty and the meat was tender. The aesthetics seemed to be a shabby chic motif. Omar was very nice and sat down at the table to tell us more about the daily options. They have a different menu item according to which day you go. Highly recommend this restaurant and we will definitely go again.Went back again yesterday and everything was great.

I came on a Tuesday night for both food and karaoke. Karaoke goes from 6-9pm on Tuesdays on the second floor. I got the Mac Daddy. The food, service, and karaoke were all great! It really started picking up around 7:30pm. It''s one of those places where the locals go and all know each other, and everyone was very nice and welcoming.

Place is much more fun and comfortable than it sounds! Very down to earth, owner will come talk to you and explain their history and some of his favorite dishes if you haven't been before. They usually have off menu specials and will also try to accommodate your order. Food is very good with giant portions. The BBQ sauce is very tasty, tender brisket. We had the Mac Momma and Omar's Nachos. The sweet tea is DEFINITELY Texas style! Very sweet and delicious made in house. Would recommend again especially if you like brisket, cheese, and hearty dishes. Service was very good.

As we were heading from Dinosaur Valley State Park to Waco Mammoth National Monument, we needed to get something to eat. Searched Google and found Uncle Worms. Wow - what a great place. We had the OG Brisket Sandwich and the Chicken and Waffles and both were delicious. The service was great, and prices were even better. Sorry I don’t have pictures, as we dove right in a the food literally disappeared. If you around that area, stop by, you will NOT be disappointed!!

The food was great. I had the Mac Daddy, and it was delicious. The pretzel chips appetizer was small but really good. The manager working that night was super nice and made us feel welcomed.
